CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Pemigewassett sits besides Lower Baker Pond, a mile long and ¾ mile wide body of water, surrounded by Pemi-owned land, which means no public boat traffic. We have many athletic fields, courts, and ranges, hiking and running trails, two sandy beaches with swimming areas, three streams for exploring and nature study and two campfire circles. We have over 40 buildings, including the Nature Lodge, Woodshop, Library, Mess Hall, Junior Lodge and the Senior Lodge.

Camp Pemigewassett is an all-around camp and is committed equally to excellence in our four program areas. Since 1908, Camp Pemigewassett’s abiding mission has been to inspire and support boys aged 8 to 15 as they find their own distinctive paths in becoming self-reliant, caring, and successful young men with a passion for all that they do.

We believe that Camp Pemigewassett is the oldest summer camp for boys in the country under the same continuous family ownership and management. Founded in 1908 by Edgar and Edwin Fauver and Dudley Reed, Pemi has thrived for well over a century through the vision and commitment of four generations of Fauvers and Reeds.

Pemi recruits staff members who are dedicated to the development of the whole camper, and we train them carefully with an eye to the most informed thinking on the social, physical, and emotional well-being of boys. Our staff’s enhanced leadership, mentorship, and communication skills serve our campers and parents well and become vital traits for staff to carry into future roles and relationships.

Campers of differing backgrounds from all over the world live simply in small and inclusive cabin groups. These close-knit camper families meld with the larger Pemi community in ways that foster key civic values, such as respect for others, integrity, responsibility, sustainability, and generosity of spirit. Our varied program teaches and nurtures practical skills while it encourages the self-challenge, creativity, and resilience that develop a boy’s self-confidence. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Pemi's 16s Program is a 3.5-week wilderness skills and leadership program that provides a challenging and rewarding experience for older campers.

Participants who wish to extend their leadership training are invited to apply for an optional Counselor Apprentice Program held at Camp Pemigewassett, Wentworth, NH.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Camp Pemigewassett’s hope is that all boys who wish to attend camp will be able to. We care deeply about providing the benefits of a summer at Pemi to as many families as possible. In an effort to make camp available to every camper who is interested, we offer financial aid to those who apply and qualify for financial support.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Boys aged 8-15 may enroll for full session (7 weeks), first session (3 weeks), or second session (4 weeks). First and Second Sessions provide a solid camp experience and also include events and opportunities that are unique to each “half.”

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Greetings and welcome to Camp Wicosuta! Wicosuta is a traditional four-week sleepaway camp for girls in Hebron, New Hampshire. At Camp Wicosuta, girls develop confidence and self-esteem by learning and developing new skills, making new friends, and having the time of their lives!

ONE OF THE ORIGINAL SLEEPAWAY CAMPS: Camp Wicosuta was founded in 1920 by Anna Rothman, one of the pioneers of sleepaway camps for girls. Mrs. Rothman knew that by getting young women out of urban areas and into the natural environment surrounded by caring role models and energetic friends, they would learn many of the lessons needed for them to thrive in the world around them.

THE "3 C'S": CONFIDENCE, COMPETENCE & COMMUNITY: Camp Wicosuta teaches young girls skills that build self-confidence and self-esteem. At Wico, our goal is for every child to walk away feeling confident in herself and competent in her ability in any of a number of areas. We teach these lessons in a physically and emotionally safe community in which our campers are challenged to move past their self-set limits.

ELECTIVE SCHEDULE: The elective schedule encourages decision-making and independence, and most importantly, creates a culture where all of our girls participate. Girls choose the activities they like, so they can't wait to get started! Wico is filled with happy, active girls! While we want our youngest campers to get a taste of everything we offer, even they get to choose one elective period a day as they start to develop personal tastes and interests. WICO STAFF: Our staff sets us apart. Highly skilled, well-trained and enthusiastic, we have a high percentage of returning staff each year.

Additionally, we look for new staff with strong backgrounds/interest in working with children and in their activity area. We have a series of staff orientations to train counselors prior to the campers' arrival and continue training throughout the summer.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Known for our beautiful waterfront and fantastic staff, Camp Takodah is one of New England's classic YMCA Resident Camps. Founded in 1916 and set in New Hampshire's beautiful Monadnock Region, we have rich history, deep traditions, and a program based on giving youth the skills to build friendships with remarkable integrity.

In addition to our traditional two week sessions we offer a one-week starter experience for the younger, first-time campers. Campers who choose to stay in the North Village will enjoy the core Takodah experience, including the cabin-centered experience, swimming, sports, adventure, crafts, nature, and performing arts, but with some additional opportunities for adventure-based and community activities, like taking the whole village on an overnight or adventures out of camp!

Broadway Musical Theater Dance Camp
July 28th – 31st – Monday- Thursday from 9:30am-12:00pm for ages 6 – 8 and 9:30am-1:00pm for ages 8-12! Thursday we will have an in studio “performance” at 12:30pm for parents and friends on what they learned that week! Each camp will have a focus on one Broadway Music and they will learn and perform excerpts from that show. They will do different styles of dance. The styles we will focus on are Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Musical Theater. Snacks are provided for each Dancer! The cost is $115 for ages 6-8 and $130 for ages 7-11.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: What can parents expect of Kingswood? Visitors to Kingswood are immediately struck by the low-key, friendly atmosphere of our camp community. Every summer we work hard to produce that esprit de corps where every boy feels he is an integral member of the group. It all starts with young men and boys who come from homes that possess solid core values and morals. Our families expect Kingswood to provide a happy and safe environment, and to be a place which complements their efforts to instill firm distinctions between right and wrong in their children. It is our mission to be a completely wholesome place, at all times, and without exception.

Kingswood is both owned and directed by the Wipfler family of Bethesda, Maryland. Bob and Alice started running the operation in 1985. The oldest of their three children, Rob, moved to New Hampshire in 2013 to be in position to oversee camp operations year-round, along with his energetic wife, Becky. Another son, Mike, teaches school when not running the camp's daily program during the summer months. Daughter Sara has developed a strong interest in the nature and photography component of Kingswood's program. All Wipflers bleed Kingswood blue! The Wipflers have long known that lots of extra help at the top end is needed, and feel strongly that camps belong in the hands of educators. People who have elected to dedicate their careers to children are best equipped to recognize the many signals kids give as indicators of their sense of well- being.

We call our regular staff gatherings "faculty meetings" where the first agenda topic always is "boys of concern." Youngsters do not slip through the cracks at Kingswood, and we owe much of our success to our top leaders, who help show younger staff how to look at boys through the eyes of professional educators.

A Typical Day: 7:30 reveille- music over the PA system 8:00 breakfast 8:45 clean up 9:30 team sport instruction- by age 10:30 waterfront instruction- by age 11:30 individual activity instruction- by age 12:30 supervised free time 12:45 lunch 2:00 rest hour 3:00 afternoon choice (called "A-Block")- team sports (practices and intercamp games), nature (projects and day trips), creative games (enormous variety) 4:30 supervised free time (called "B-Block"), waterfront (lifeguards on duty), unscheduled time (read, shower, play catch), hang out (be with friends) 6:00 dinner 6:45 free activity (called "Sponsorships") 8:30 all-camp special activity 9:30 cabin activities, target time for lights out for younger boys 10:00 target time for lights out for older boys How is the program scheduling done? The most formal time of the day is the morning instructional time block.

Boys sign up weekly for three daily one-hour "clinics," with several choices available to them for each block. Campers pick from each of three categories: waterfront, team sports and individual activities. Boys are grouped by age in clinics, but counselors offer varied lesson plans depending on the proficiency levels within the group- a major asset in a smaller community. From lunchtime onward, campers are offered a variety of activities which change daily with boys almost always getting their first choice.

The weather, boys' requests, and the directors' sense of balance dictate each day's options. Once they select, boys must attend and we make sure of that! A host of afternoon and evening activities is listed in the camper guidebook. The flexible approaches we take in programming are very popular with campers and counselors alike and are another area where Kingswood stands apart from many other camps.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Becoming a Kingswood counselor is a goal that some boys have from their early days as junior campers. Others come upon this notion later. Having finished sophomore year in high school, they are now mature enough to consider the transition from camper to counselor. The CITs live in The Barn and attend meetings similar to counselor training sessions. The first question posed to CITs is "What does it take to be a good Kingswood counselor?" CITs are given the opportunity to learn from hands-on, supervised experiences in leading clinics and assisting in the camper cabins. The CIT program does more than produce well-trained counselors; it also builds skills that will help young men be successful as they enter college and beyond.

OTHER CAMP INFO: What sorts of trips does the camp take? Most of our trips are designed to take advantage of the lakes and mountains in this beautiful region of America. We feel strongly that children need to establish a connection to nature. Hiking, canoeing, fishing and swimming day trips, and 2-3 day excursions make up the bulk of our offerings. As always, these trips are available to campers as choices, but, admittedly, they are heavily promoted. Most boys go on several trips during a typical stay. Recreational trips, too, are regular offerings. The Fourth of July parade and fireworks, a New England town fair, and the water slide amusement park are examples of special trips taken annually. All campers get to participate.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: The Summer Intensive is affiliated with Dimensions in Dance, a dance school offering ballet, Pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, lyrical, and acro classes. Dimensions in Dance offers several performance opportunities throughout the year, including an end of the year recital, as well as The Nutcracker and other shows put together by sister company Ballet Misha.

Our staff is primarily college students, graduates, faculty and former Birch Hill campers. Together we are a diverse group of mature, dignified role models coming from both the United States and abroad. Despite our different backgrounds, as camp counselors and staff there is a common thread that connects us all and brings us together in this magical place that we feel is our home away from home. We love teaching and having fun while maintaining a safe environment that facilitates growth for our campers.

At the beginning of each summer our counselors attend a ten day long, comprehensive training course that speaks our values as an organization. Because our staff are hired based on competency in an activity area, this orientation is focused on addressing overarching concepts around making sure each and every camper feels comfortable and at home here at Birch Hill. We strive to hire staff members who have a cheerful disposition and embody the Birch Hill spirit. We bring you the best people for the job.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CIT program offered to previous campers that are 16 years old during their session. Our goal for the Counselor in Training (CIT) program is to provide an enjoyable and safe summer experience appropriate for older children. The experience will include leadership training and the opportunity to assume some daily responsibilities at Birch Hill, along with the fun and excitement that accompany the rest of our summer program. It is our hope that the CIT campers will begin to develop some of the skills that will allow them to assume additional leadership positions in the future, perhaps as counselors at Birch Hill once they have had one year of college or life experience after high school. For one activity period each day the CITs will work together in their own group under the supervision of Birch Hill staff members. They will use this time to do team building, to learn how to help with the various camp games, activities, and responsibilities.

By the end of the session CITs choose a counselor at Birch Hill they would like to "shadow" and assist them during their activities, and in the cabin. In addition to the CIT Class the primary responsibility of the CITs will be to assist the directors and the staff of Birch Hill. A typical day may involve helping counselors to run events, aiding in the set up and clean up of camp activities. In addition, we will provide opportunities for Leadership/CIT participants to enjoy the richness of the activities and events that our camp has to offer. All CITs receive community service hours and a college recommendation at your request.

The Tale of Beauty and the Beast, a two week camp for both half and full day campers features a script based program on this classic fairytale. Kids will learn all aspects of theatre through step-by-step involvement in every aspect of putting a musical show together. CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Wa-Klo has Rustic and comfortable cabins, each with a toilet and sink, the cabins for our younger campers are equipped with a shower and a amazing view of Thorndike pond.

We have a large indoor gym with 6 Basketball nets and 2 volleyball nets. There is also a fully equipped fitness area with tread mills and weights as well as a Dance Studio. Our our ever growing Arts and Crafts centre and our new Stained Glass area which has proved very popular with our campers is also situated here.

In our large dining room we serve our hot meals 'family style' as well as offering Salad bars every Lunch and Dinner and a selection of fruits and yougharts at breakfast.

Wa-Klo is set at the foot of Mount Monadnock on the beautiful Thorndike pond. We have a vast array of water sports that we offer. A large swimming area with a slide and diving board as well as: Crew, Kayaking, Canoeing, Sailing, Windsurfing and Water skiing/Wakeboarding have their own docks spread along our lenghty shore front.

Wa-Klo also has a large equestrian area. The horseback riding facilities consist of a very large all weather arena, show jumping field, a smaller riding arena and nine loose boxes, with direct access to miles of wooded off-road trials riding.

Our Land activities program is ever growing, we have three outdoor tennis courts, an archery area with 6 targets as well as a 'field archery' course for our more advanced archers. This has been described as being like 'the hunger games'. We have a large field set up for: Soccer, Field Hockey and Lacrosse. As well as all of these amazing activities we also offer: Fencing and Gymnastics which take place at our 'chill out' area equipped with: Hammocks, Carpet ball, Tetherball and a rec centre where our campers can play table tennis, play board games or simply chill with a book on the couches.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Quinebarge offers a wide-ranging, exciting and robust summer camp program for children from 6-16 years old. Our program includes a diverse set of activities, lots of cabin time to make friends and bond as a group, and special activities like trips, camp outs and much, much more.

From 9am-1pm and 4-5:30pm each day campers participate in activities they select each week. Activities are all co-ed, and a majority of the activity schedules are determined according to individual camper choices.

Horseback Riding lessons are available daily under the supervision of highly qualified instructors. After campers have learned to care for their horses and to demonstrate proficiency in the ring, trail rides on our extensive trail network offer an extra challenge.

Quinebarge offers possibly the world’s most difficult frisbee golf course in the woods, Gaga, volleyball, basketball, street hockey, softball, kickball, Quidditch, soccer, lacrosse, non-competitive games and much more. Our climbing wall and adventure courses promote teamwork and cooperation.

Swimming and Boating. Our swim program offers daily swim lessons in accordance with American Red Cross standards and we have all-camp general swim each afternoon. Quinebarge offers tubing, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boards, surf bikes, playaks and many other types of boats to enable kids to get out on our beautiful lake, learn how to use many types of boats and have a great, refreshing time.

Nature. Quinebarge’s 65 acres of woods, waterfront and trails offer a ready-made outdoor environmental activity center. We make tasty banana bread in our solar cookers, take trail hikes, geo-cache, and create eco projects, learning about our natural world.

Trips. New Hampshire’s Lakes and Mountains regions are in our backyard and we utilize them extensively all summer, sending trips out almost daily including canoeing, hiking, camping, fishing, backpacking, mountain biking and white water rafting trips, offering campers the challenge of the outdoors. Both day and overnight trips are included. The White Mountain region of New Hampshire offers an excellent variety of rivers and trails for all abilities.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Working at summer camp can be one of the most rewarding jobs you will ever have. At Pleasant Valley Camp, you are a mentor, teacher, friend, role model, brother, caregiver and more for young girls as they experience new things at camp. You have the unique position of helping our campers learn about themselves and the best part is, you do so by just being yourself!

Our camping staff is carefully selected on the basis of experience, education, training, leadership ability and interpersonal skills. Each staff member participates in pre-camp training in preparation for the arrival of campers. The staff's primary focus is ensuring our campers health and safety; a love for working with children and being an engaging member of a thriving inclusive community is a must! Providing a superior quality FUN camp program in a caring, physically and emotionally safe environment is our overall staff goal.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have nine newly-constructed wood-framed cabins, two lakes for swimming and kayaking, and a 90-foot dining hall, with fireplace.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Beam Guides are the teachers, builders and brighteners who work and play alongside campers providing a safe and enriching camp experience. All the Guides are people over the age of 20 who make a life and living from pursuits involving invention, design, planning and production: artists, architects, engineers, craftspeople, teachers, designers, chefs, and musicians.

Beam’s 1:4 staff to camper ratio makes it possible for all campers to be supervised at all times. All waterfront and lake activities are supervised by Red Cross certified lifeguards. We have a full-time staff nurse with us at camp.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Campers 15+ may enroll as Fellows in either camp session. The Fellows program recognizes the growth that campers experience as they mature into young adults by rewarding them with the opportunity to take a more active role in our camp’s mission. We want Beam Fellows to occupy a special space at our camp. From their arrival at camp, Beam Fellows are specially trained to play an integral role in the realization of the project; they’ll go deeper into the management and building skills required to make the project and take leadership roles in the Waves. Additionally, Fellows assist in documenting and publicizing the project for the larger camp community and beyond.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): We invite families to join us at camp on Sunday, July 27 (Session 1) and Sunday, August 24 (Session 2) between 10AM and noon for a celebration of the Beam Project and to pick-up their campers.

Tuition includes bus transportation to camp from Brooklyn, t-shirt, weekly laundry and assorted random extras.

CAMP FACILITIES: YMCA Camp Coniston is a co-ed residential camp located on Lake Coniston. The Boy's and Girl's Camps are on separate sides of the lake, with shared dining hall, lodge, athletic fields/courts between them.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our cabins sit on the southeastern lakeside edge of the White Mountain National Forest and each house about seven campers and three counselors. All our cabins have electricity, fully-equipped bathrooms and ample cubby room for belongings. Cody is one of the most well-equipped summer camps in the country. All of the buildings are either new, or have recently undergone major expansion or refurbishing, and almost all of the equipment is updated or replaced approximately every five years. Cody’s sports facilities include a baseball diamond, as well as a soccer field and a football field. There are also two volleyball courts, two floodlit street hockey/roller hockey, a floodlit five-aside soccer arena, two floodlit basketball courts, and seven tennis courts (four floodlit). Cody also has a modern riflery range and two archery ranges.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Cody is part of a camping heritage that goes back to 1926. Nestled on the sandy beaches of beautiful Lake Ossipee amidst the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Cody offers a summer experience rich in fun, friendship, learning and adventure. A traditional summer camp for both girls and boys, campers range in age from seven to fifteen and CITs beginning their leadership programs at sixteen. Are you ready to have the best summer of your life? Come have a blast with Cody! We are looking to hire upbeat, outdoorsy and fun staff to work with kids, meet counselors from all over the world, and share a once in a lifetime experience.

Lakeside property with dozens of activity fields, sports, and entertainment for everyone!

As an Activities Counselor you'll get to plan, direct, and implement activities in your area of expertise and coordinate the activities into the entire camp program.

Experienced teaching and/or coaching in athletics, aquatics, arts, and adventures preferred. Responsibilities:
•Teach and stimulate the interest of staff and campers in the area of expertise.
• Create lesson plans based on increasing camper competence and skill level in activity area.
• Implement innovative and fun lesson plans and teaching techniques.
• Conduct a regular check of equipment for safety, cleanliness, and good repair.
• Set up activity area during staff week.
• Submit orders for supplies and equipment during staff week or when needed ensuring the timely arrival of materials.
• Conduct an initial and end of the season inventory and store all equipment properly.
• Evaluate current season and make recommendations for equipment or program changes for the next season. • Work as a member of a team of counselors who provide guidance and support to all campers and staff.
• Plan and prepare for inter-camp sporting events and activities, when applicable.
• Assist with all-camp events, evening programs, trips. • Complete tasks as assigned by supervisors. Desired Qualifications:
• Training, certification, or documented experience in the respective activity.
• Experience working with children.
• Knowledge of safety practices as applicable to the respective activity.
• Endurance and stamina needed to provide constant programming and supervision to campers.
• Ability to spend long hours teaching area of expertise. • Positive attitude and sense of humor.

CAMP FACILITIES: We are located on a mountain that has cabins that host 4-8 campers with 1-2 counselors. We also share the property with a farm that the campers are able to participate in. We also have seven acres on beautiful Loon Lake.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our unique wilderness oriented programs are a refreshing change from your basic summer camp. In this ever evolving age of being “plugged in” we need to remind kids that playing outside is not only healthy, but fun! Hiking to the top of the tallest mountains in the Northeast and canoeing down the picturesque rivers of New England instills an appreciation for nature that is being lost in this technologically addicted world. It also cannot be overstated how healthy it is for kids to have time away from home to achieve independent growth.

Teenagers and adults that attended CMF as campers fondly remember how it was there that their love for the outdoors was fostered and made it possible to enjoy it later in life. Our program gives campers the opportunity to go on weekly overnight backpacking and canoeing trips to exercise their skills in leadership and self care in the wilderness. Every trip is led by a certified Wilderness First Responder with a wide breadth of experience in the region.

Additionally, we have a swimming program on pristine Loon Lake that includes both instructional time and free swim activities. All staff members have life guard certification.

When not on wilderness trips or at the lake, in camp activities include Rock Climbing under the supervision of qualified instructors, Sports, Photography, Arts and Crafts and Music.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Any second family member registered gets $500 discounted on their tuition. Scholarships are considered on an individual basis.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): There is the potential for families to come to camp before and after the regular summer camp sessions.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have housing for 150-200 people in small cabins, larger dorm style buildings, and a yurt village. Our camp is located on small but beautiful Half Moon Pond with a private beach just for campers. We also have modern dining facilities, two outdoor amphitheaters, and miles of hiking trails throughout our campus. We even have a great blue heron nesting rookery!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Sargent Camp was established in 1912 as one of the first women's outdoor camps in the country, a revolutionary idea at the time. Since then we have become co-ed, but still uphold the founding ideals of providing outdoor experiences for campers from all walks of life.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our 15-17 year old campers take part in the LIT program, which includes an off site campout, the opportunity to lead activities from younger campers, and group service projects to help out the camp. LITs live in the Yurt Village and have dedicated LIT counselors who help them become leaders within the camp community.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
We are looking for general counselors for the 2022 summer season! Counselors will live on site from June 12th-Aug 21st, with 2 weeks of training and 8 weeks of camp. We welcome all applicants, but especially encourage people with experience in our activities to apply. We are a small crew (about 30 counselors) and a great community of both staff and campers.
